Dental Seating FAQs
What types of dental seating does Brewer offer?
Brewer offers two primary categories of dental seating: dentist and hygienist stools, and dental assistant stools. Dentist and hygienist models include traditional round stools, ergonomic back-support stools, and saddle stools. Dental assistant stools feature body support arms available in left and right configurations to support the unique seated position of the dental assistant role.
Are Brewer dental stools made in the USA?
Yes. The majority of Brewer's dental seating line is manufactured at the company's facility in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. The Amazone and Jumper saddle stool series are manufactured in the Netherlands by Score, a European ergonomic seating specialist. All products have at minimum a 5-year warranty.
What is the difference between a dentist stool and a dental assistant stool?
Dentist and hygienist stools are designed primarily for straight-on and forward-leaning work, with seat and back features that promote lumbar support and forward pelvic tilt. Dental assistant stools add a body support arm on the left or right side, which braces the forearm and reduces upper body fatigue during the extended reach and lateral positioning typical of the assistant role.
Do Brewer dental stools come in different upholstery options?
Yes. Most Brewer dental stools are available in standard vinyl upholstery and in UltraLeather, a premium material that is more resistant to chemicals, fluids, and repeated sanitizing cycles common in clinical environments. Saddle stools in the 135 series feature a contoured molded seat rather than traditional upholstery.
Can I order replacement parts for my Brewer dental stool?
Yes. Brewer sells genuine replacement parts directly, including casters, cylinders, control plates, aluminum bases, and cylinders with collar for specific series. Visit the Dental Seating Parts collection or the main Parts & Accessories page to find components by series number.
